JK Defence & Security offers a wide range of ladders, hooks, masts, launchers and vertical access equipment for both maritime and urban operations. Only first-class products are used, which have already proven themselves in many NATO armed forces. In Germany, JK Defence & Security is the exclusive representative of technology leader H. Henriksen with its REBS product line and other brands such as HQH or ATLAS.
Fulfilling the mission and minimizing operational risks for the operator is the mission. Maximum stability, high speed, low weight and minimal signature are the characteristics that are paramount. All products we offer are therefore designed using the strongest materials such as carbon fiber or titanium and aerospace grade aluminum.
We offer a wide range of tactical ladders for maritime and urban applications. Rigid ladders are available in various designs with a wide range of hooks and accessories and made of different materials such as aluminum or carbon fiber. All ladders are sectionally extendable and some models can be converted into bridges and stretchers. Flexible rope or wire ladders feature light weight and small pack size, but require additional poles or launchers to be used.

Whether in maritime or urban use – most ladders need a stabilizing anchor at their highest point to secure the ascent. Our product range includes a wide range of single and double hooks made of different materials, as well as other accessories, e.g. for breaching glass windows. All hooks are characterized by a high performance-to-weight ratio.

All masts we offer are telescopic or rollable and made of lightweight but strong carbon fiber or fiberglass composites. Masts are used to fix ladders to suitable anchor points by means of hooks. Lengths range from submersible 3m masts to platform-mounted 20m masts, unpowered or powered. Various release mechanisms are available to separate the mast from the securely fixed ladder.

Heights of more than 20m can no longer be overcome with conventional masts. This is regularly the case with modern cargo ships or buildings in urban areas. In these operational scenarios, launchers are used, which shoot grappling hooks into position by means of compressed air. Grappling hooks can be connected to ropes as well as wire ladders to realize an ascent. In this way, heights of more than 50m can be overcome. In these cases, the use of an ascender, such as the APA-5, is recommended.

If heights of more than 20m have to be overcome or the ascent has to be particularly fast or concealed, various ascending aids come into question: manual ascenders for limited heights are small and compact. Especially in boarding applications, magnetic ascenders can be used covertly, while powered ascenders such as the APA-5 are the ultimate in terms of height, speed, payload, robustness and signature.
